Avionics Technician III, MQ-9

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned UAS aircraft electrical generators, load banks, starters, relays, batteries, actuators, circuit breakers, switches, and aircraft instruments
• Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems involving circuitry location, electromagnetic radiation, and malfunction isolation
• Perform circuit analyses, calculate waveforms, and trace signal flow using complex test instruments
• Prioritize workload to meet the Daily Flight Schedule and maintain accurate aircraft logs and records
• Provide technical guidance, training, and leadership to lower-level avionics technicians
• Perform quality assurance (QA) duties and sign off work in NALCOMIS/OOMA or IMDS
• Maintain, repair, and install various types of electronic equipment and related devices

Requirements

• Active Secret US Government clearance (ability to obtain Top Secret required)
• High School Diploma or completion of relevant military/vocational technical school
• Minimum of 5 years of Aircraft Avionics and Ground Control Station (GCS) maintenance experience
• Minimum of 2 years of specific experience on MQ-9 aircraft and GCS
• Ability to obtain IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security) within 90 days of hire
• Ability to lift, carry, or wear equipment in excess of 50 pounds for extended periods
• Valid U.S. Passport with at least two years of validity and sufficient blank visa pages
• Ability to travel on CONUS/OCONUS deployments and meet all medical screening criteria

Preferred Qualifications

• Top Secret Clearance with SCI
• Associate degree in a relevant career field
• Current IAT Level II Certification
• Prior deployment experience
• Previous experience as a Defense Contractor
