About the role
Responsibilities
- Performs routine or special maintenance inspections to prevent failure of aircraft electrical and avionics systems
- Troubleshoots, tests, repairs, and installs avionics components including communication, navigation, and radar systems
- Fabricates wiring harnesses and installs or modifies avionic and electrical systems
- Interprets avionic/electrical wiring diagrams, wire identification, and harness fabrication
- Uses hand tools, power tools, and soldering irons to adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning components
- Sets up and operates ground support and test equipment to perform functional flight tests
- Completes work package documentation and ensures repaired components meet prescribed standards
Requirements
- High School or GED
- Current A&P or FAA Repairman Certificate (Avionics)
- One year of recent depot level aircraft avionics experience
- Proficiency in interpreting avionic/electrical wiring diagrams and harness fabrication
- Ability to wear a respirator as per OSHA regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts
Preferred Qualifications
- FCC License
- Prior experience in an executive jet repair facility
