Avionics Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies, modules, boards, panels, and cables
• Work from diagrams, drawings, and blueprints to make initial layouts and use hand/power tools
• Conduct continuity checks, quality inspections, and serviceability tests using technical manual equipment
• Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble experimental or prototype assemblies
• Position and align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures using precision measuring instruments
• Complete work package documentation in accordance with FAA and repair station manuals

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in assembly, mechanical, electrical, or aircraft structures
• Proven Avionics experience
• Proficiency in riveting, hardware installation, and use of precision instruments
• Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications
• Ability to wear a respirator per OSHA regulations
• Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• A&P certification
• Flight Controls experience (Rigging and/or Installations)
• Aviation Maintenance or Aviation Assembly experience
• Structures experience
