About the Company
Cowboy Space Corp. is building the infrastructure to power and connect the orbital economy. Our satellites operate in Low Earth Orbit to collect sunlight and enable a new class of capabilities—from powering on-orbit compute, to transmitting energy via infrared lasers.
Responsibilities
- Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems and components on launch vehicles and spacecraft
- Perform wire harness fabrication, routing, and termination per engineering drawings
- Conduct functional checkouts, continuity tests, and end-to-end signal verification using oscilloscopes and multimeters
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Support integration and final assembly in cleanroom and production floor environments
- Document all work performed in the MES/MRP system
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve technical issues
- Maintain compliance with ESD, FOD, and contamination control protocols
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in avionics, electrical, or electronics assembly in aerospace, aviation, or defense
- Proficiency reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies
- Ability to solder, crimp, and terminate connectors to J-STD-001 standards
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in aerospace or electrical engineering technology
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
- IPC J-STD-001 or IPC/WHMA-A-620 certifications
- NASA workmanship certification
- Experience with spaceflight hardware in a cleanroom environment
- Familiarity with environmental testing (thermal vacuum, vibration, acoustic)
