Avionics Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of major assemblies, subassemblies, and wire/connector replacements on MH-60R aircraft.
• Conduct Planned Maintenance Interval Inspections (PMI) and organizational, intermediate, and depot-level maintenance.
• Execute inspection, fault detection, and isolation on electrical and utility systems, including radar, navigation, and communication equipment.
• Operate and maintain ground support equipment and precision tools for power plant maintenance.
• Maintain all required maintenance documentation, forms, and records in compliance with the NAMP.
• Provide On-the-Job Training (OJT) for local technicians and maintain appropriate training records.

Requirements

• 8 years of experience performing complex helicopter electrical work.
• Extensive expertise in MH-60/H-60 avionics systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot radar, navigation, GPS, and electronic countermeasure systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic diagrams.
• Ability to use specialized test equipment such as voltmeters, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
• US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications

• Navy Aviation Avionics experience (AE MH-60R HSM HSC).
• Experience with Airborne Low-Frequency Sonar (ALFS) AN/AQS-22.
• Experience with Sonobuoy Processing Systems.
• Experience with Multi-Mode Radar AN/APS-153(V).
• Experience with Open-Architecture Mission Computers.
