About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical, design, and informational support for production, product support, or in-service avionics issues
- Troubleshoot system problems and investigate long-term technical issues to assist airline customers
- Collaborate with operators to resolve Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations and return airplanes to revenue service
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including Service Letters, drawings, and specifications
- Conduct root cause analysis and develop engineering solutions for complex design non-conformances
- Assess complex system event reports to determine potential safety issues and provide proactive fleet guidance
- Travel to airline sites to lead technical and executive review meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
- 3+ years of experience in an engineering discipline
- 1+ years of project management experience
- Willingness to work flexible, off-shift hours in a 24/7/365 operational environment
- Ability to travel 10% domestically and internationally
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of related work experience
- Experience in Communications and Navigation systems (e.g., VHF/HF, SATCOM, TCAS, GPS)
- Proven ability to present technical information to customers and stakeholders
- Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work across multiple team functions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
