Avionics Production Supervisor, PCBA

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and support avionics PCBA rework technician team and the SMT line
• Support technician training, certification, and development
• Drive daily production execution, quality assurance, and schedule adherence
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Production Control, and Logistics
• Identify and implement tools, floor layouts, and capital equipment to improve efficiency
• Establish and track key production metrics such as throughput and first-pass yield
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of experience in a production leadership role in aerospace, electronics, or high-reliability manufacturing
• Direct experience managing teams building or reworking PCBAs and electro-mechanical assemblies
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and shop floor management software (ERP/MRP/MES)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with aerospace manufacturing standards like IPC-A-610 or NASA-STD-8739
• Hands-on experience optimizing manufacturing workstations and tooling
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
• Technical background in electronics or harness design
