Avionics Manufacturing Technician

Responsibilities

• Construct superior wire cables, perform PCB assembly rework, and assemble/test racks, systems, and electro-mechanical units
• Assist avionics engineering by rapidly iterating electronic components and cables
• Comprehend cable wiring diagrams, schematics, and mechanical layout drawings
• Verify flight hardware and thoroughly document outcomes
• Aid in developing manufacturing processes for initial production runs
• Contribute to projects aimed at increasing operational efficiency

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience manufacturing wire harnesses in commercial or aerospace industry using D38999 connectors
• 1+ years of experience using electronics equipment (programmable power supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes, etc.)
• 1+ years of experience using basic mechanical and/or electronics hand tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Willingness to work second shift (2pm - 10:30pm) and evenings/weekends if required

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in aerospace wire harness manufacturing
• 5+ years of experience with mechanical/electronics hand tools
• Experience soldering PCBAs (0402 packages, high-density ICs, dead-bugging)
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools (SVN, Confluence, JIRA)
• Associate degree or high school diploma
