Avionics Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create work instructions to fabricate, install, or modify electrical and avionics subsystems
• Develop drawings and work instructions for production tooling
• Act as an engineering liaison to troubleshoot documentation and provide real-time shop floor support
• Troubleshoot electrical and avionics ground test issues
• Develop test plans and procedures for vehicle integration
• Source and purchase electrical components from engineering documentation
• Analyze engineering requirements to estimate fabrication time, cost, and producibility

Requirements

• Experience with electrical engineering, avionics, or launch vehicle integration
• Experience with aerospace production documentation (drawings and work orders)
• Experience with PDM systems and engineering revision control
• Hands-on experience with aircraft electrical system installation
• Proficiency with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators
• Familiarity with 3D CAD and MS Office
• Ability to communicate technical challenges to varied audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Security clearance
• Experience with Siemens Capital or Mentor Graphics
• 3D CAD modeling experience in NX, CATIA, or Solidworks
• Proficiency with Labview
• Familiarity with Jira
