Avionics Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create detailed work instructions and engineering documentation to fabricate, install, or modify electrical and avionics subsystems
• Act as a liaison engineer to provide real-time troubleshooting and technical support to technicians on the shop floor
• Develop test plans, procedures, and drawings for tooling to support the production build phase
• Troubleshoot electrical and avionics ground test issues and support integrated vehicle testing
• Source and purchase electrical components based on released engineering documentation
• Analyze engineering requirements to estimate fabrication time and ensure producibility within cost and schedule margins

Requirements

• Experience in electrical engineering, avionics, or aircraft/launch vehicle integration
• Proven experience with aerospace production documentation, including drawings and work orders
• Hands-on experience with aircraft electrical system installation and best practices
• Proficiency with PDM systems and engineering revision control processes
• Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators
• Familiarity with 3D CAD environments and common aerospace hardware (connectors, relays, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with 3D CAD modeling software such as NX, CATIA, or Solidworks
• Proficiency with Siemens Capital, Mentor Graphics, or Labview
• Familiarity with configuration management systems like Jira
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
