About the role
Responsibilities
- Assemble vehicle and ground wire harnesses and electromechanical assemblies
- Test harnesses using continuity and hi-pot testing
- Install components on flight vehicles and test stands
- Perform functional tests of assemblies using bespoke test equipment
- Monitor inventories of parts
- Program and operate automated wire stripping, crimping, and torquing equipment
- Perform testing such as vibe, shock, and thermal to validate hardware integrity
Requirements
- 1+ year experience in aerospace, automotive, medical, or equivalent environment
- Ability to review and execute work instructions
- Rigorous attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with configuration-controlled drawings and specifications
- Experience with aerospace grade wiring harnesses and automatic harnessing tools
- Soldering and PCBA rework experience
- Experience working in an ESD protected area
- Familiarity with FOD and tool control processes
- Experience terminating D38999 connectors, D-SUB, and working with ETFE / PTFE cable
- Instrumentation and controls installation and operation
- Basic command line interactions or Python coding
