Avionics Installer

Responsibilities

• Lead, support, or assist in the removal and installation of avionics electrical components
• Fabricate wire harnesses, installations, terminations, and ring-outs
• Perform functional tests of avionics and electrical systems
• Install and modify wiring and electrical components in accordance with blueprints and engineering drawings
• Maintain required logs, records, and shop equipment
• Comply with FOD, tool control, 5-S, and safety regulations

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics plus 2 years related work experience, OR 4 years of experience in an avionics/electronic career field
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding)
• Basic computer and general software knowledge
• Valid driver's license may be required
• Ability to participate in a DOT/FAA drug and alcohol program
