Avionics HITL & Test Technician

Responsibilities

• Support full build and maintenance of HITL (Hardware-In-The-Loop) test assets
• Install avionics hardware, manufacture wire harnesses, and fabricate load simulators
• Assemble production test racks for HITL, acceptance testing, and qualification of flight hardware
• Perform electrical checkouts including continuity, discontinuity, and multimeter measurements
• Assist design engineering with specification development, component assembly, and process validation
• Use hand, power, and pneumatic mechanical tools to build fixtures and tooling assemblies

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in aerospace electronic hardware assembly, integration, and testing
• 1+ years of SMT/through-hole soldering and test rack assembly
• Proficiency in soldering, crimping, and assembling cable harnesses and connectors
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• IPC certification (IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620)
• Hand soldering ability meeting IPC J-STD-001
• Experience designing and building electrical assemblies and test fixtures
• Ability to read, review, and redline electrical and test rack schematics
• Experience with shop equipment like drill presses, grinders, and band saws
