About the role
Responsibilities
- Support full build and maintenance of HITL (Hardware-In-The-Loop) test assets
- Install avionics hardware, manufacture wire harnesses, and fabricate load simulators
- Assemble production test racks for HITL, acceptance testing, and qualification of flight hardware
- Perform electrical checkouts including continuity, discontinuity, and multimeter measurements
- Assist design engineering with specification development, component assembly, and process validation
- Use hand, power, and pneumatic mechanical tools to build fixtures and tooling assemblies
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace electronic hardware assembly, integration, and testing
- 1+ years of SMT/through-hole soldering and test rack assembly
- Proficiency in soldering, crimping, and assembling cable harnesses and connectors
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- IPC certification (IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620)
- Hand soldering ability meeting IPC J-STD-001
- Experience designing and building electrical assemblies and test fixtures
- Ability to read, review, and redline electrical and test rack schematics
- Experience with shop equipment like drill presses, grinders, and band saws
