Avionics Hardware Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, document, test, and troubleshoot electronic assemblies from circuit board to integrated electro-mechanical levels
• Collaborate with cross-functional electrical, mechanical, software, manufacturing, and test engineers
• Drive hardware improvements through benchtop, environmental, and on-aircraft testing
• Perform root-cause investigations to rectify anomalous behavior in safety-critical environments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent experience
• Professional experience with ECAD tools such as Altium
• Demonstrated ability to complete and ship projects and deliverables
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to methodically diagnose and solve electronic hardware problems

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional experience with the full electronics product life-cycle
• Hands-on experience with analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design and debug
• Experience designing electronics for rigorous environmental standards (aerospace, military, automotive, or industrial)
• Proficiency with Python and/or MATLAB for analysis and test setup scripting
