Avionics Engineering Technician

Responsibilities

• Support flight operations by acting as the engineering liaison to troubleshoot electrical and avionics ground test issues
• Design, manufacture, and operate electrical ground support equipment
• Create drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions to install or modify electrical and/or avionics subsystems
• Support the shop by acting as the engineering liaison to troubleshoot documentation issues and provide real-time support on the shop floor
• Contribute to the integration of complex aerospace systems
• Travel as needed to support the department

Requirements

• Experience with electrical engineering, avionics, experimental aircraft, or launch vehicle integration
• Experience integrating launch vehicle or aircraft electrical power systems
• Experience creating shop work instructions, wiring diagrams, and drawings
• Hands-on experience with aircraft electrical system installation
• Proficiency with wiring diagram tools such as Siemens Capital Logic/Harness or equivalent
• Experience using lab equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators
• Familiarity with 3D CAD and MS Office

Preferred Qualifications

• Environmental testing experience
• Security clearance
• Proficiency with Siemens Capital/Mentor Graphics
• 3D CAD modeling experience in NX, CATIA, or Solidworks
• Experience with Curtiss-Wright IADS or Labview
• Familiarity with Jira
