About the role
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of high-reliability Avionics Units or PCBAs throughout their entire lifecycle
- Execute the full electrical design cycle, including component selection, schematic capture, layout, and design verification
- Manage unit-level tasks such as requirement management, reliability analyses, and qualification testing
- Plan and execute verification and acceptance tests at unit, subsystem, and vehicle levels
- Develop test procedures and automated scripts to verify performance under harsh conditions (thermal, vacuum, vibration)
- Conduct design reviews and participate in system-level technical evaluations
- Collaborate with the Avionics department on integrated testing and flight data reviews
Requirements
- BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering, Energy Science and Technology, or a comparable field
- 3+ years of professional experience working with complex PCBs and electronics
- Proficiency in E-CAD tools for schematic and layout design, preferably Altium Designer
- Experience with simulation tools such as PSpice, LTspice, or Simulink
- Hands-on experience with electrical test and measurement equipment
- Knowledge of reliability analyses including FMEA, MTBF, Fault Tree, or Ishikawa
- Experience with Design for Test (DfT) and Design for Manufacture (DfM) concepts
- Fluent in spoken and written English
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in product ownership
- Working experience in high-reliability industries such as Aerospace, Medical, or Automotive
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python or Matlab for automation and data analysis
- Experience with mechanical design tools such as Solidworks, NX, or OnShape
