About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of complex electronic and avionics equipment
- Set up and operate precision test equipment including oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers
- Align and adjust advanced electrical components to ensure proper functioning of electrical circuits
- Conduct functional tests to check operation and calibration of test stations, components, and systems
- Analyze circuitry and physically check wiring to locate malfunction sources during testing
- Perform electrical and mechanical repair operations, including the disassembly and assembly of units
- Install modifications as specified by Service Bulletins or other authorized documentation
Requirements
- AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or 8 years of relevant experience in the absence of a degree
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Experience in electronics maintenance and industry-related education
- Proven experience troubleshooting electronics equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience troubleshooting to the component level
- Prior soldering experience in a related technical environment
