Avionics Electronics Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of complex electronic and avionics equipment
• Set up and operate precision test equipment including oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers
• Align and adjust advanced electrical components to ensure proper functioning of electrical circuits
• Conduct functional tests to check operation and calibration of test stations, components, and systems
• Analyze circuitry and physically check wiring to locate malfunction sources during testing
• Perform electrical and mechanical repair operations, including the disassembly and assembly of units
• Install modifications as specified by Service Bulletins or other authorized documentation

Requirements

• AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or 8 years of relevant experience in the absence of a degree
• U.S. citizenship is required
• Experience in electronics maintenance and industry-related education
• Proven experience troubleshooting electronics equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience troubleshooting to the component level
• Prior soldering experience in a related technical environment
