Avionics Design Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Guide the design of avionics, RF, and power systems for the Haven-1 space station
• Lead technical reviews and provide guidance on mechanical design, manufacturing drawings, and test plans
• Architect engineering standards, design guides, and review frameworks for avionics and EMI/EMC
• Drive FMEA and Fault Tree Analysis to identify and mitigate technical risks
• Partner with configuration and change management to ensure intentional hardware updates
• Set standards for acceptance and qualification test completeness for flight systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or related discipline
• 6+ years of professional experience in engineering design, systems integration, or reliability
• Willingness to work overtime or weekends to support critical mission milestones

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of related professional experience
• Experience in Reliability Engineering or Systems Engineering for complex aerospace systems
• Hands-on experience with hardware assembly, integration, or testing
• Background with spacecraft, aircraft, or launch vehicles
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or Excel for data analysis
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and hardware qualification pathways
