Avionics Craftsman II

Responsibilities

• Manufacture aircraft wire harness assemblies following engineering drawings and shop aids
• Install wire harnesses on final product assemblies including interior cabinets and circuit breaker panels
• Produce wire fabrication using strippers, crimpers, heat guns, and other production equipment
• Perform wire marking, cutting, and labeling duties
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and perform testing/verification of final products
• Design and build shop aids and maintain shop tools
• Provide guidance to less experienced craftsmen

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 4+ years of corporate or commercial aircraft wiring experience or related military training
• Must qualify as a US Person (US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or political asylee) for ITAR compliance
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Proficiency in mathematical problem solving
• High degree of hand-eye coordination and accuracy
• Ability to work overtime and comply with DOT/FAA Drug and Alcohol Testing Programs
• Ability to lift 25 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with assistance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with repetitive stripping and crimping equipment
• Ability to operate wire-marking and labeling machines
