Avionic Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test aircraft electrical, computer, and data network systems for flight training devices.
• Research, analyze, and implement avionics systems including communications, navigation, and defensive systems.
• Perform simulation code development, systems integration, and quality assurance testing.
• Prepare engineering technical analysis, design reviews, and change proposals.
• Interface with engineers, vendors, and Government representatives regarding technical program aspects.
• Read, write, and maintain new and existing software within established industry processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency with C, C++, or C#.
• Experience developing code on both Linux and Windows systems.
• Scripting competency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Competency with FORTRAN or Ada.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
• Strong technical understanding in a specific avionics specialization.
