About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test aircraft electrical, computer, and data network systems for flight training devices.
- Research, analyze, and implement avionics systems including communications, navigation, and defensive systems.
- Perform simulation code development, systems integration, and quality assurance testing.
- Prepare engineering technical analysis, design reviews, and change proposals.
- Interface with engineers, vendors, and Government representatives regarding technical program aspects.
- Read, write, and maintain new and existing software within established industry processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency with C, C++, or C#.
- Experience developing code on both Linux and Windows systems.
- Scripting competency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Competency with FORTRAN or Ada.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
- Strong technical understanding in a specific avionics specialization.
