Aviation Security Screening and Patrolling Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of aviation security (AVSEC) screening and patrolling processes
• Ensure operational readiness and regulatory compliance with NCASTP and ICAO requirements
• Monitor and oversee screening operations for passengers, baggage, cargo, mail, and airport staff
• Design and update aviation security training programs in accordance with industry best practices
• Liaise with internal departments and external service providers to meet operational objectives
• Manage the aviation security budget and monitor expenses for cost-effectiveness
• Identify performance gaps and coordinate remedial training with the Training & Audit Manager
• Participate in ORAT activities, drills, and exercises to assess operational readiness
• Assess potential threats and risks to assist in planning necessary security measures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
• Certified Security Manager by HCAA
• 7-10 years of experience in Aviation Security operations
• 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial role within aviation screening or patrol operations
• Strong knowledge of ICAO Annex 17, ECAC Doc 30, EU, and Hellenic Civil Aviation regulations
• Experience managing large security teams in a 24/7 operational environment
• Proven experience in ORAT and project management
• Advanced ECDL knowledge
• Fluency in Greek and English (written and oral)
