About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary student advisor, guiding students through academic coursework, FAA certification milestones, and medical requirements.
  • Support the operational management and strategic growth of the aviation program, focusing on enrollment scaling and retention.
  • Coordinate between academic units and external flight training partners to resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure student progression.
  • Monitor and track program-level performance indicators, including enrollment trends, attrition, and time-to-completion.
  • Provide financial guidance regarding flight fees, simulator costs, and student aid options.
  • Ensure compliance with Veterans Affairs (VA) education benefits and other regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate transfer credits and prior FAA certifications for incoming students.

Requirements

  • Master's degree and 1 year of related experience (e.g., collegiate advising, academic counseling, or student affairs) OR a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with academic departments and external flight training organizations.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage compliance-related information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Aviation, Education, Student Affairs, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations, VA education benefits, or veteran student services.
  • Experience supporting military-connected or veteran learners.
  • Foundational understanding of aviation concepts and pilot training pathways.
  • Experience with regulatory approval or compliance processes.
