About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough audits and surveillance of manufacturing and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Perform airworthiness inspections, including pre-flight and post-flight, and coordinate with the FAA and customers.
- Document nonconforming materials, hardware, software, or assemblies in accordance with established procedures.
- Utilize technical manuals, sketches, and FAA publications to complete inspection assignments.
- Maintain accurate company and FAA-required records and inspection forms.
- Interpret airworthiness directives and service bulletins to ensure full regulatory compliance.
- Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions such as gaps, heights, and angles.
Requirements
- 5+ years of aircraft maintenance inspection experience on powered aircraft within a military, airline, or certificated repair station environment.
- Experience with electrical systems or complex mechanical systems (e.g., hydraulics, pneumatics, or heavy machinery).
- Ability to work any shift, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Must meet US Person status requirements as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62.
Preferred Qualifications
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
- 10+ years of experience with aircraft maintenance inspection on powered aircraft.
