Aviation Ground Support Equipment Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions and repair Aviation Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations
• Inspect and approve completed maintenance actions by studying drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical publications
• Use automated maintenance data systems to monitor trends, analyze equipment requirements, and document maintenance actions
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including servicing equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, and hydraulic fluid
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using test equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and circuit card testers
• Disassemble, repair, clean, and reinstall GSE components and accessories
• Maintain external fuel and grounding systems
• Prepare GSE for storage and mobility deployment and maintain accurate vehicle and equipment records
• Practice strict tool control, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention, and safety protocols

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Three (3) years of Aviation GSE experience within the last six (6) years
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Valid U.S. Passport with at least 6 blank pages and two years of validity remaining
• Ability to obtain and maintain a facility Public Trust NAC-I
• Ability to pass CENTCOM Medical requirements for deployment
• Ability to obtain a Kuwait Visa
• Physical ability to lift/push/pull at least 50 pounds and work in austere, all-weather environments

Preferred Qualifications

• U.S. Military Technical school or specialized training course completion
