Aviation Communications Specialist

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality third-party communications between Air Traffic Controllers and pilots via High Frequency (HF) radio
• Provide consistent and reliable communication relay services using nationally standardised procedures
• Supply accurate flight information across multiple channels and support essential SARTIME activities
• Collaborate closely with Air Traffic Controllers, Service Leaders, pilots, and technicians to maintain operational coordination
• Uphold organisational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure aviation safety

Requirements

• Completion of Year 12 or equivalent
• Ability to type a minimum of 60 wpm using touch-typing
• Capacity to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operational environment
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency (subject to background checks)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aviation or operational communications environments
