About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality third-party communications between Air Traffic Controllers and pilots via High Frequency (HF) radio
- Provide consistent and reliable communication relay services using nationally standardised procedures
- Supply accurate flight information across multiple channels and support essential SARTIME activities
- Collaborate closely with Air Traffic Controllers, Service Leaders, pilots, and technicians to maintain operational coordination
- Uphold organisational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure aviation safety
Requirements
- Completion of Year 12 or equivalent
- Ability to type a minimum of 60 wpm using touch-typing
- Capacity to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operational environment
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency (subject to background checks)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aviation or operational communications environments
