Avaloq Developer

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments of current tax calculation architecture within Avaloq, evaluating system design, data flows, and integration points.
• Produce architectural proposals for target system designs, weighing the trade-offs between existing setups and alternative transitions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across tax, technology, and operations to validate findings and ensure recommendations are technically and commercially sound.
• Create clear, high-quality documentation suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience with the Avaloq Banking Suite.
• Deep technical expertise in tax and capital gains calculation modules, specifically CGCalc and/or CGiX.
• Strong understanding of investment tax principles, capital gains computation, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Proficiency with Avaloq scripting (ALES) and related development tools.
• Ability to assess complex legacy architectures and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to business stakeholders.
• English proficiency at a C1 Advanced level.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with system migration or large-scale transformation projects within the financial services industry.
