AV & Technology Support Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive, on-site audiovisual and technology support for classroom systems, media spaces, and campus events.
• Offer first-level technical support for Windows and macOS systems, printers, peripherals, and software installations.
• Troubleshoot real-time technical issues for faculty, staff, and students.
• Document all support activities and requests within the IT ticketing system.
• Assist with the setup of audiovisual equipment for various campus events.
• Maintain inventory for AV and loaner equipment.
• Create training and instructional media to assist the university community in using available technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge gained through professional experience.
• 3 years of comprehensive work experience in technical support, AV support, or a customer-facing technology role.
• Foundational knowledge of audiovisual systems and classroom technology.
• Working knowledge of both Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.

• Experience working in a higher education environment.
• Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and wireless casting technologies.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with a focus on customer service.
