AV Technician I

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of AV equipment, including audio/video conferencing, digital signage, and control systems
• Perform structured cabling tasks such as pulling, terminating, and testing cat5e/6, HDMI, and audio cables
• Provide technical support for high-profile events, including equipment setup, breakdown, and pre-event checks
• Troubleshoot AV/VC issues and identify solutions for client conference rooms
• Manage inventory, including stock levels, RMA processes, and DOA issues
• Upload Crestron control programs and collaborate with remote teams on system certification
• Maintain SLAs and ensure all daily deliverables and ticket updates are completed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with 0-2 years of related experience or training
• Strong understanding of wiring, termination, and AV equipment installation techniques
• Ability to read and understand architectural, electrical, and AV system drawings
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with a focus on customer service
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
• Ability to work day, evening, or weekend shifts and travel to support distant events if required
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders or scaffolding
