AV PreSales Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create detailed AV system designs including schematic line diagrams, signal flow topologies, and rack layouts
• Engineer advanced layouts incorporating DSPs, Unified Communications, and AV-over-IP networks
• Develop comprehensive AV Bills of Quantities (BOQs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), and project costings
• Formulate Scopes of Work (SOW) and technical solution narratives for RFP/RFQ bids
• Conduct on-site engineering surveys and technical assessments
• Pitch customized AV engineering designs and Value Engineering alternatives to clients and consultants
• Manage commercial relationships with regional AV manufacturers and distributors

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, IT, or related field
• 5+ years of AV presales and design experience within the UAE/GCC market
• Mandatory AVIXA CTS certification
• Valid UAE driving licence and personal vehicle
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Visio
• Experience with DSP platforms (QSC, Biamp, BSS) and control systems (Crestron, Exton, AMX)
• Knowledge of AV-over-IP protocols (Dante, Q-SYS)
• Understanding of IT networking fundamentals (VLANs, QoS, IGMP)

Preferred Qualifications

• AVIXA CTS-D (Design) certification
• Experience with command/control rooms and mission-critical environments
• Proficiency in Revit or Bluebeam
• Experience with D-Tools or similar estimation software
