AV Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients to ensure all event requirements and expectations are met.
• Manage the end-to-end delivery of events, from small meetings to large-scale productions, including equipment rigging and de-rigging.
• Proactively engage with clients to develop sales potential, interpret technical needs, and propose creative solutions.
• Drive revenue by up-selling services such as video editing and advanced production elements.
• Build and maintain a portfolio of standard set designs and visuals to help clients visualize event possibilities.
• Foster strong relationships with venue staff, sales teams, and banquet departments to ensure seamless communication and service.
• Manage on-site technicians, delegating responsibilities and managing shifts effectively to ensure all deadlines are met.
• Monitor budgets, negotiate rates, and maintain accurate information systems for equipment movement and turnover reporting.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, including Mathematics and English GCSE (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in AV or live events production.
• Experience working within the Service and Hospitality industry.
• Strong technical understanding and ability to troubleshoot ad hoc issues on-site.
