AV Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work with the engineering team to complete drawing reviews and support technical requirements
• Oversee multiple simultaneous projects and schedule remote or onsite support
• Perform technical tasks including crimping, soldering, wiring, labeling, and terminating AV systems
• Install, label, and dress cables in racks, tables, and podiums
• Configure, load, test, and troubleshoot control systems and DSP files
• Troubleshoot and repair newly installed and existing custom AV systems
• Provide client training on AV system usage
• Maintain documentation for equipment including serial numbers and IP addresses
• Conduct quality control on systems installed by subcontractors

Requirements

• CTS certification
• Minimum of four years of AV experience
• Proficiency with AV applications such as AMX, Extron, Crestron, Poly, Cisco, QSC, or Biamp
• Strong soldering skills
• Clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights using ladders or scaffolding
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally (minimum 30% overnight)
• High school diploma or equivalent
