About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the Harold Alfond Forum, ensuring safe and efficient management of ice, turf, fitness, and multipurpose spaces.
  • Supervise a team of full-time and per diem Ice & Building Technicians, providing leadership, scheduling, and professional development.
  • Create, manage, and reconcile the Forum’s operating budget in conjunction with the Director of Auxiliary Operations.
  • Manage daily and long-term facility scheduling for athletics, recreation, and external rentals using 25Live.
  • Lead the HAF User Group to facilitate communication and resolve issues among building occupants and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Athletics, Dining Services, Facilities, and IT to ensure seamless service delivery across campus.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in facility management, athletics/recreation, or event operations.
  • Proven supervisory experience managing full-time staff and student employees.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget creation and management.
  • Knowledge of ice arena operations, building systems, and event support best practices.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in Higher Education Administration, Sports Management, or Business Administration.
