Auxiliary Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and calibration on assigned equipment and instrumentation
• Troubleshoot and repair six-axis robotics, pick and place robotics, and material conveying systems
• Execute electrical troubleshooting, including PLC operation using discrete and analog inputs/outputs
• Repair modern injection molding machines, addressing hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and computer-based issues
• Diagnose and repair electrical and pneumatic control system problems on production machinery and fixtures
• Use precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers to inspect parts and determine dimensional requirements
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and production personnel to ensure efficient operations
• Assist with the setup and teardown of packaging lines

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of experience in industrial troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints
• Strong mechanical skills and the ability to work from mechanical drawings
• Knowledge of computer components, installation, and configuration
• Knowledge of how PLCs work
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform duties in confined spaces
• Must own a roll-around toolbox with a mechanic-type tool assortment
• Ability to operate man lifts up to 30 feet

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with injection molding machines
• Advanced PLC troubleshooting experience
