Autonomy Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, and prototype novel autonomy software and algorithms for autonomous systems
• Develop and evaluate autonomy software from conceptualization to implementation, including sensor selection and data analysis
• Design, develop, and test algorithms for sensor fusion, guidance, navigation, and control
• Develop and test code in simulation and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) environments
• Participate in field tests of implemented autonomy software on vehicles and systems
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in an agile environment

Requirements

• US Citizenship required or ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
• 5+ years of Autonomy, Guidance, Navigation, or Controls experience
• Experience developing real-world solutions with computational constraints and modeling uncertainty
• Experience developing both algorithms and simulations for test and validation
• Expertise in positioning, navigation, and timing, particularly for aircraft
• BS or MS in Aeronautical/Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in sensor fusion such as Kalman filtering
• Experience with designing and integration of autonomy hardware
• Proficiency in C++ and Python
• Experience in ML model development using PyTorch and ONNX
• Experience with sensor modeling and performance analysis
