About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute major autonomy releases, incremental releases, and hotfix/safety patches
  • Manage branching strategy, versioning, and release cut processes
  • Drive release readiness and go/no-go decisions with cross-functional teams
  • Design and maintain internal tooling for release dashboards, automated health checks, and metrics collection
  • Investigate complex issues involving software/hardware interactions and distributed systems
  • Enforce stage-gated release frameworks from feature complete to release candidate
  • Integrate and interpret validation signals from simulation, HIL, and on-road testing
  • Support autonomy engineers in component integration

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in software engineering, release engineering, or systems engineering
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Experience with Bash scripting and Linux environments
  • Basic to intermediate experience with SQL and data querying
  • Familiarity with Git and branching strategies
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with autonomous vehicle or robotics systems
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release automation
  • Exposure to simulation frameworks or hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing
  • Basic C/C++ reading ability for debugging
  • Experience building internal engineering tools or dashboards
