About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop advanced AI, optimization, and machine learning infrastructure to support autonomous systems
  • Research and implement game-changing algorithms with the reliability required for space deployment
  • Collaborate with leadership to define and roadmap future autonomy capabilities
  • Work across vehicle autonomy, mission planning, wargaming, and threat implication

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Aerospace, or a similar discipline
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Python
  • Strong understanding of statistics, optimization, and reasoning under uncertainty
  • 2+ years of experience implementing algorithms for autonomous planning and decision-making in real-world systems
  • U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or Aerospace
  • 2+ years of professional experience writing high-reliability, production C/C++ code
  • Experience with edge computing and real-time processing constraints
  • Background in Aerospace and Orbital Mechanics
  • Expertise in convex optimization, dynamic programming, search algorithms, reinforcement learning, or decision theory
