About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead fault and autonomy requirements definition, verification, and validation
  • Define satellite and constellation states, modes, transitions, and autonomous spacecraft behaviors
  • Design and validate onboard fault detection, isolation, and response (FDIR) architectures
  • Contribute to architecture concepts, CONOPS, and technology trade-off analyses
  • Perform end-to-end validation of autonomy products and behaviors
  • Support on-console operations for on-orbit missions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in satellite design and/or operation
  • Experience in the design, development, and verification of spacecraft FDIR
  • Experience in the design, development, and verification of spacecraft autonomy software or configurations
  • Familiarity with satellite subsystems, system-level analysis, and/or on-orbit mission operations
  • U.S. Person status (Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) as required by export control

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9+ years of experience in satellite design and/or operation
  • Expertise in designing satellite mission CONOPS and deriving autonomy requirements
  • Technical leadership experience setting program direction and creating engineering standards
  • Experience with satellite testing and on-orbit mission operations
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
