Autonomous Vehicle Test Operator II

Responsibilities

• Safely operate prototype-level Autonomous Vehicles on defined and undefined routes, including closed courses and public roads
• Execute in-vehicle tests, record data, and provide annotations as required by test plans
• Utilize JIRA to manage tasks and document status changes
• Perform pre-operation and post-trip vehicle inspections and report mechanical issues
• Provide mentorship and training to other Test Operators
• Document technical notes, reproduce issues, and support triage processes
• Support global mapping efforts by collecting and verifying mapping data

Requirements

• Clean driving record for the previous 10 years
• Valid driver's license with minimum 10 years of driving experience
• Prior experience as an Operator/Driver for Autonomous Vehicles
• High school diploma or equivalency
• Proficiency with laptop computers, GSuite, and touchscreen smartphones
• Ability to work days, nights, and weekends
• Basic understanding of robotics systems including sensors and actuators

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or BS in Engineering, Physics, Science, or a relevant field
• Experience with data analysis
• Experience testing vehicle subsystems or L2-L5 systems
• Experience using Jira or other issue tracking software
• Experience in technical writing and documentation of mechatronics systems
