Autonomous Vehicle System Integration Engineer

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to actuators, wiring, enclosures, and mechanical integration
• Plan and conduct comprehensive Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) covering mechanical alignment, electrical continuity, and sensor calibration
• Design and implement tooling, test fixtures, and validation rigs to support production testing
• Refine electro-mechanical subassemblies for better manufacturability and robustness (DfMA focus)
• Create detailed work instructions, exploded views, electrical diagrams, and maintenance guides
• Provide hands-on training and technical support to manufacturing partners and field service teams
• Identify and validate alternative components or suppliers to reduce cost and improve availability

Requirements

• BEng or MEng in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in system integration, production support, or testing of electro-mechanical systems
• Proficiency in actuator systems, wiring harness design, and mechanical assemblies
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and apply mechanical tolerancing practices
• Willingness to travel outside Singapore for production support or field deployment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with basic PCB design and debugging
• Familiarity with sensor types such as encoders, limit switches, and TOF
• Exposure to DfMA methodologies or lean manufacturing principles
• Understanding of electro-mechanical component sourcing and supply chain risk management
