Autonomous Vehicle Safety Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate autonomous vehicles in both self-driving and manual modes through diverse traffic conditions.
• Continuously monitor traffic, road, and environmental conditions to ensure safe operation.
• Promptly disengage the self-driving system and take manual control when necessary to maintain safety.
• Perform technology testing, including software, hardware, and instrumentation.
• Provide detailed feedback to software development teams via voice recordings and written reports regarding system disengagements.
• Monitor software performance using proprietary graphical user interfaces (GUI).
• Conduct pre- and post-mission tasks, including vehicle inspections and daily cleaning.
• Adhere to all safety practices and identify potential risks to maintain high safety standards.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of driving experience with a completely clean DMV report (zero accidents, tickets, or points).
• Valid US Passport.
• Valid driver's license.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass motor vehicle and criminal record background checks and drug screens.
• Ability to work the second shift (approximately 3:00 PM - 10:30 PM).
• Ability to sit and drive a vehicle for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with autonomous vehicles.
• Professional driving experience.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree.
• Basic technical knowledge of vehicle components and functions.
