Automotive Wind Tunnel Technician

Responsibilities

• Operate wind tunnel control systems to implement client configurations (roller bench, air speed, temperature, and humidity setpoints)
• Assist clients with test equipment setup, including vehicle preparation and instrumentation
• Manage start and stop procedures for the wind tunnel cycles
• Participate in proactive maintenance, upkeep, and first-level repair activities
• Perform specific vehicle instrumentation such as installing thermocouples and pressure sensors
• Conduct calibration and maintenance of sensors
• Drive vehicles inside the wind tunnel during test programs as required

Requirements

• At least 2 years of proven experience as a test technician in the automotive industry
• Experience in a wind tunnel or similar test installation (e.g., emission roller bench)
• Pragmatic, proactive, and customer-oriented attitude
• Basic understanding and conversational skills in English or Spanish

Preferred Qualifications

• Mechanical repair skills
• High voltage electric vehicle driving certificates
