About the role

Responsibilities

  • Teach curriculum developed by the department to maximize student learning
  • Plan and organize instruction, including preparing syllabi in accordance with college policies
  • Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, utilizing instructional technology
  • Modify instructional methods to meet the needs of a diverse student body
  • Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit final grade rosters by established deadlines
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of student information

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in automotive technology or a related field OR a high school diploma/GED with at least five years of industry experience
  • Must hold and maintain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in the content area taught
  • Proficiency in using modern educational technology and multimedia-based instruction
  • Must reside in or be able to perform work within Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work within a culturally diverse community

Preferred Qualifications

  • Evidence of successful prior teaching experience
