About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach curriculum developed by the department to maximize student learning
- Plan and organize instruction, including preparing syllabi in accordance with college policies
- Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, utilizing instructional technology
- Modify instructional methods to meet the needs of a diverse student body
- Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit final grade rosters by established deadlines
- Maintain strict confidentiality of student information
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in automotive technology or a related field OR a high school diploma/GED with at least five years of industry experience
- Must hold and maintain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in the content area taught
- Proficiency in using modern educational technology and multimedia-based instruction
- Must reside in or be able to perform work within Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work within a culturally diverse community
Preferred Qualifications
- Evidence of successful prior teaching experience
