Automotive Technical Specialist

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for repair requests and technical questions from technicians
• Provide technical support and remote guidance using diagnostic best practices and OEM procedures
• Communicate directly with technicians in Portuguese to clarify concerns and gather symptoms
• Perform initial triage, document cases, and determine resolution paths
• Escalate unresolved or complex cases to Level 2 support with structured information
• Support and guide repairs for OTA updates and software troubleshooting
• Accurately record case notes and knowledge artifacts to improve repair rates
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share recurring issues and trends

Requirements

• Strong experience in automotive diagnostics, technical support, or workshop/field service
• Proven ability to fix complex electrical and electronic faults
• Hands-on experience with OEM diagnostic tools
• Proficiency in reading wiring diagrams and technical documentation
• Working proficiency in Portuguese and professional English (written and spoken)
• Knowledge of modern vehicle systems including powertrain, ADAS, and body electronics
• Understanding of CAN, LIN, and FlexRay networks
• Experience with root cause analysis and guided diagnostics

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in field-based or multi-site support
• Multi-brand exposure with an OEM or importer technical support background
• Proficiency in additional European languages
