Automotive Technical Specialist

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for repair requests and technical questions from technicians
• Provide remote technical support and guidance using OEM procedures and diagnostic best practices
• Communicate directly with technicians to clarify concerns, collect symptoms/DTCs, and validate measures
• Perform initial triage, document cases, and determine resolution paths or escalation criteria
• Escalate unresolved or complex cases to Level 2 support with structured information
• Support OTA update guides and basic software update troubleshooting
• Accurately record case notes, solutions, and knowledge artifacts to improve first-time repair rates
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share recurring issues and improvement opportunities

Requirements

• Strong experience in automotive diagnostics, technical support, workshop, or field service
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electrical/electronic faults
• Hands-on experience with OEM diagnostic tools
• Proficiency in reading wiring diagrams and technical documentation
• Experience working with workshops, engineering, or technical teams
• Knowledge of modern vehicle systems (powertrain, ADAS, body electronics)
• Understanding of vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, FlexRay)
• Proficiency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in field or multi-site support
• Multi-brand exposure with OEM/importer technical support experience
• Knowledge of additional European languages
