About the role
Responsibilities
- Implement performance analysis methodologies to support product-level decision-making, covering SoC architecture and behavioral modeling for IPs such as ISP, NPU, or GPU.
- Develop and maintain platforms for automotive performance analysis to enable scalable modeling of complex automotive use cases.
- Model SoC-level use cases for automotive concurrencies and maintain version-controlled, traceable summaries for customers.
- Support on-silicon analysis of use case dataflows to validate performance and provide guidance on system optimizations for power and thermal footprints.
- Create automation for workloads and test cases using Python scripts or other modeling languages like UML.
- Collaborate with software teams to prepare and maintain measurement databases for online access within models.
- Provide regular updates to functional teams regarding validated results to improve tool accuracy through measurement correlation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering (or 5+ years with a Master's, 4+ years with a PhD).
- Proven experience with SoC-level performance modeling for complex use case concurrencies.
- Proficiency in C/C++, SystemC, and Python programming.
- Experience maintaining code repositories (e.g., GitHub) and using automation scripts (Perl or Python) for regression testing via Jenkins.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret model output metrics and indicate impact on SoC performance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with IP hardware architecture, specifically CPU, GPU, NPU, or ISP.
- Previous experience as a Systems Engineer on Automotive SoC projects.
- Experience with machine learning implementations.
- Experience developing user web interfaces and back-end database tools.
- Experience working within globally distributed teams.
