Automotive Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance work in accordance with dealer and factory standards
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, and other vehicle issues
• Execute routine maintenance and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other automotive systems
• Collaborate with service advisors and the parts department to prioritize and schedule repairs
• Conduct thorough quality inspections to ensure all repairs meet industry standards
• Document all diagnostic and repair activities accurately and maintain detailed service records
• Attend factory-sponsored training to stay current on automotive technologies and trends

Requirements

• 2+ years of proven Service Technician experience in a dealership or similar automotive setting
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and automotive tools
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks and drug tests

Preferred Qualifications

• Hyundai experience and/or Hyundai manufacturer training
• ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications
• 5+ years of experience as a Service Technician
• Experience rebuilding and replacing engines and transmissions
