About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise technicians and service personnel, including planning, scheduling, and assigning duties
- Coach service department teammates on operational processes, service standards, and safety procedures
- Manage parts inventory and outside purchases to ensure compliance with company programs
- Work directly with customers regarding sales, service opportunities, and adjustments
- Evaluate the performance and productivity of all service department personnel
- Assist the Store Manager with the recruiting process and final employment decisions
- Ensure store safety and compliance with equipment maintenance and shop area standards
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Service Manager role
- Outstanding leadership and store management skills
- Solid knowledge of basic OSHA laws and MSDS Compliance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to lift 50-100 lbs occasionally and perform physical tasks such as standing, stooping, and bending
