Automotive Plant Controller

Responsibilities

• Oversee all plant financial operations, including monthly financial statements, annual audits, and budgeting processes.
• Manage accounting department activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and disbursement processes.
• Supervise payroll systems to ensure accurate employee payments, benefits administration, and regulatory compliance.
• Establish and maintain internal controls and systems to ensure data integrity and safeguard company assets.
• Manage the accuracy of the perpetual inventory system and provide precise cost accounting for all inventory items.
• Provide financial analysis and tools to support the Plant Manager in decision-making regarding capital expenditures, product costing, and special projects.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a Community College diploma in a related field.
• Ten years of progressive manufacturing experience with increasing responsibilities.
• Proficiency in SAP enterprise software, specifically within financial management modules.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and other database applications.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation.
• Fluency in Spanish.
