Automotive Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on vehicles and equipment
• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tune-ups, and brake service
• Inspect and test drive vehicles to identify problems and verify repairs
• Repair or replace faulty parts, including brake and air conditioning components
• Complete preventive and general maintenance to support safe and reliable operation
• Maintain accurate service records and complete required paperwork
• Order parts and materials needed for repairs in a timely manner
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and in good condition
• Support the upkeep of forklifts, tractors, man-lifts, and related gas- and diesel-powered equipment

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant mechanical experience, OR 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related mechanical experience
• Valid state issued Driver's License
• Working knowledge of gas and diesel-powered equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Mechanical certification or training from a college or trade school
