Automotive Manufacturing Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability (DFX studies)
• Prepare justifications, purchase, and implement capital equipment for production
• Establish robust, repeatable, and reproducible process parameters
• Troubleshoot process-related issues and participate in cycle time and process improvement activities
• Implement statistical process reviews on new and existing products
• Drive safety, productivity, and yield improvements
• Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation
• Interface with production for all activities associated with new process implementation and transfer
• Assist in the development and delivery of training to production personnel
• Manage cost improvement and reduction programs

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or similar) or equivalent industry work experience
• 4+ years of manufacturing process engineering experience, specifically within automotive manufacturing or a similar environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to manage relationships with both internal and external customers
